North Tacoma Pediatric Dentistry is one of the largest pediatric dental practices serving Tacoma and Puyallup.

We are also one of few practices in the entire Puget Sound region that offers cosmetic dentistry and conscious sedation for kids. In fact, many other dentists refer their patients to us for specialty and surgical care because of our expertise and state-of-the-art facilities. We’re proud of that!

Seeing children and families is my passion! I love the opportunity to work with children and parents to help prevent dental disease and ensure a healthy and happy smile! If a child does need dental treatment, I consider this an opportunity to provide high quality dental care in a caring and comforting environment for child and parents.

I graduated from dental school at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2006, and completed my pediatric residency and dual Masters Degrees in Public Health and Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Washington in 2009. I became board certified in Pediatric Dentistry in 2010. I currently serve on the Dental Quality Assurance Commission for the State of Washington, where I work with other commissioners to enact dental practice rules and laws. In my spare time, my husband and son and I like to play golf, kayak, and go hiking.

Dr. Ellen Polsky

Of course not every child looks forward to a dentist visit. That’s why I bring a lighthearted approach and sense of humor to my work and make every effort to accommodate each child’s unique personality in a safe, comfortable environment. I also love working with children with special needs.

At the end of the day, most parents are very pleasantly surprised at how well their children did in our office. They put a lot of trust in our care, and it is my privilege and pleasure to work with them.

Dr. Virk

Dental Surgeon

Dr. Virk earned his Dental Degree from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School in 1998 and called Pacific Northwest home! After running a very busy Family and Cosmetic Dental Group Practice for six years, Dr. Virk decided to pursue his dream as an Orthodontist.

He completed his advanced postdoctoral training at Boston University, where he received his Orthodontic Degree and a Master of Science in Dentistry. He returned to Washington State in 2006 and started his orthodontic career. With the cosmetic and general dentistry background Dr. Virk has a unique prospective of addressing the orthodontic needs of his patients. He works very closely with general and cosmetic dentists, as well as other dental specialists, in order to provide personalized orthodontic care for both children and adults. He also has special interest in TMJ dysfunctions and sleep apnea.

Dr. Virk is very active regarding orthodontic research and strives to keep updated with the latest advances in orthodontics. He accumulates over 200 hours of continuing education hours per year. Dr. Virk is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Society, the King County Dental Society prednisone and the Interdisciplinary Study Group Northwest.

Dr. Virk loves spending time with his wife Dr. Skountrianos and their two sons. He enjoys travelling and he is a big Sounders fun.
